So in general, could we get some word on WHY Dauntless/PHXL does not want to utilize Discord Integration? Maybe there is something I'm missing? Even in typical MMOs: FFXIV, WoW which have full fleshed out party search systems, people still use discord communities to make groups.Having the integration, will at least give players a effortless option, if they choose to have communication. There are games like Atlas Reactor and new emerging titles, that with integration, can put you into a voice group with your fellow players in match making, so that you can better communicate and maybe make new friends. It's really hard to believe that online game players, have to go to the reddit, twitter, or even the official forums, to find the discord server. We know that matchmaking is an issue in terms of skill disparity and there are plenty of threads and feedback on how that could be changed, but in the mean time, the community discord is the best place to find people to communicate and play with. Why isn't a link to the dauntless discord built into the launcher? I don't mean a small little discord icon, but like a tile that lets players know there is a discord available.Even single player games and games in testing, now utilize discord heavily. I gave a huge post on the cost effectiveness (It's Free) of it and how discord has become the staple for online game communities and interactions with developers. I've advocated for Discord Integration, very early into the game. "It works just like any other tattoo ink, so artists will use their actual machine and equipment." "Our ink is real tattoo ink that's applied by real tattoo artists," explains Ephemeral’s co-founder, Josh Sakhai. They don’t want you to confuse them with "temporary tattoos," however. But what if there were a way to join the club without it being permanent?Įphemeral, a tattoo studio in Brooklyn, New York, is paving the way, after pioneering the technology for tattoos that disappear after about 9 to 15 months. Tattoos are permanent body modifications that require metal needles and some trauma to your skin. Even so, you can’t beat the spontaneity and thrill of getting inked – for many, it’s a right of passage. Your skin is full of nerve endings and is sensitivein some places much more than othersso, depending on your pain tolerance, tattoos can involve substantial discomfort. Ephemeral estimates that over half of its clients are people getting their first tattoo, like Barbara Edmonds, 27, who works for a media sales company and lives in Greenpoint. Wrath Cookies have a chance/are guaranteed (depends on the phase) to replace Golden Cookies during the Grandmapocalypse. If you get the Wrinklespawn egg from the Easter event, you'll get an extra 5% from popping a Wrinkler. Sometimes, you may gain extra from a Wrinkler, but I'm not exactly sure from where. You heard me right, Wrinklers can "increase" your CpS by 20%. When popping a Wrinkler, you do not get the amount it says, but actually get an extra 20%. This may sound bad at first, as when having 10/12 Wrinklers at once, you will lose 50/60% of your CpS respectively. You can see how many cookies are in a Wrinklers stomach by buying the 'Eye of the Wrinkler' upgrade in the Ascend tree for 100 million Heavenly Chips. You can have a maximum of 10 Wrinklers at once, which can be upgraded to 12 by buying the 'Elder Spice' upgrade in the Ascend tree for 444,444 Heavenly Chips.Ī Wrinkler will leech 5% of your CpS and keep it in its stomach. Then do a few warm-up sets of the exercises you choose, but with lighter weight than your working sets or with just bodyweight. That can mean a few minutes of walking on a treadmill incline, climbing stairs, or riding a bike to get your blood flowing-movements which warm up your hamstrings specifically. Before you get started with a hamstring workout, make sure you warm up properly, Miklaus says. If you want to create a well-balanced leg workout, add two or three of the following hamstring exercises to each routine. How can you incorporate hamstring moves into your workout program? Variations like the reverse lunge (which require more activation of your glutes and hamstrings than a forward lunge) and a sumo squat-the wider stance forces your inner hamstring muscles to fire more-would be your best bets for hamstring training. That’s because when you lunge or squat, your hamstring muscles have to turn on to keep your leg stable and to help you stand back up, he says. The best hamstring exercises are those that incorporate the movement patterns of extending your hip (think hip hinge, like if you were deadlifting) or flexing your knee (like with a glute bridge, where your hamstrings fire as your heel applies force to the floor), says Miklaus.Įven exercises that you’d traditionally consider quad-dominant moves, like squats or lunges, can also work your hamstrings too. What are the best hamstring exercises out there? So moving them regularly, like with dedicated hamstring exercises, help keep those muscles stretched and elastic, which can help ward off the back pain, he says. This tightness can contribute to lower back pain. Plus, thanks to too much inactivity throughout the day-think long days sitting at your desk or in your car for your commute-your hamstring muscles tend to tighten up, Miklaus says. “If you are not stabilizing at the knee appropriately-and that’s a big part of what your hamstring does, it helps keep the knee joint in place-you risk a greater incidence of injury when your quads are way overdeveloped and the hamstrings are too weak,” he explains. While it’s normal for your quads to be a bit stronger than your hamstrings, a large imbalance between the muscles can set the stage for knee injuries or knee pain down the line, especially if movements like sprinting, jumping, lunging, or squatting are regular parts of your routine. Many people tend to be quad-dominant, Miklaus explains, meaning that their quad muscles, which run along the front of the thighs, tend to be way more developed than their hamstring muscles. Plus, training your hamstrings help you work toward balanced strength, which is important both during strength training and in everyday life. Strong hamstrings are vital for power, especially in those movements mentioned above like sprints and jumps. What are the benefits of building hamstring strength? They help you extend your hips and flex your knees-movements which allow you to do everything from standing upright and bending forward to walking, running, and jumping, Dane Miklaus, CSCS, CEO and owner of Work training studio in Irvine, California, tells SELF. Together, your hamstring muscles serve an important purpose. They’re actually made up of three separate muscles: your biceps femoris, semimembranosus, and semitendinosus. Your hamstrings are large muscles that run along the back of your body, or on your posterior chain. Below, everything you need to know about your hamstrings, including why building strength in them is so important, the best way to train your hamstrings, and some really great exercises to help make that happen. No need to worry: We’ve rounded up some really great hamstring exercises for you below, some of which use external resistance like barbells, dumbbells, or even resistance bands, and others you can do with just your bodyweight.īut before we get into the best hamstring exercises, let’s take a step back and focus on the back-of-the-leg muscles themselves. There are tons of benefits to strengthening your hamstrings (more on that later!), but if you’re new to strength training or have been sticking to the same workout routines, you may feel a little uncertain as to which other exercises you can slot in. To get the most out of your lower-body workout, adding in some hamstring exercises are a great way to make sure you’re training efficiently-and keeping your routine balanced. Use of these “tongues” are present at Hidden Valley.Īlong with Hidden Valley, Wilson designed 73 other golf courses throughout his career. His use of “tongues” on the putting surface allowed for many strategic and difficult hole locations. Strategically placed bunkers, mainly present around the putting surface, were his way of forcing a player to access the putting surface through the air. As seen at Hidden Valley Country Club, Wilson’s designs were famous for broad fairways and large putting surfaces that were mainly accessible by aerial approach shots. Though Wilson worked in the golf industry for most of his life, it wasn’t until after World War II that he became a self-proclaimed Golf Course Architect. The man behind the design was highly decorated Golf Course Architect Dick Wilson. Hidden Valley Country Club’s 18 hole layout was completed in 1952. The staff does a great job in educating our golfers on the importance of speed of play to ensure everyone has an enjoyable round. This allows you more time for your other interests or commitments. Golf at HVCC is the fastest golf course to walk or ride in the valley. The course provides a beautiful walk throughout the property, the front 9 goes through the valley and the back 9 offers a great mountain experience. Please let us know how we can serve you by calling the Pro Shop at (540) 389.8146 Option 1. We believe that you will feel at home on your first visit and desire the country club lifestyle we offer. The staff at Hidden Valley is anxious for you to visit and experience Hidden Valley. What makes a real country club is not the facilities but the staff that has committed their careers to making each visit to the club an exceptional experience. In 2006, we completed a major green renovation project and hired the Greenbrier’s course superintendent, Sean Baskette, to ensure our greens have the speed and the condition to be considered the best in Roanoke. Our fairways are dark green and tournament striped all the way through spring, summer and fall. I will not be back until our group schedules it again next year. The course is consistently the best conditioned course in the valley. The scenery is nice here but this course and the conditions of it are not worth $62. I said before I would not come back here and only did because our group did and I like playing with the group. They had carts diving around giving cold water to the golfers. Our cart had a flat tire and they did bring out a new cart quickly. Most of the tee boxes were un mowed, when you used a short tee for a fairway wood to tee off the grass was above the tee, the fairways were ok, the rough was 4 to 5 inches in some places, wasn't in any traps thank goodness, and the greens were not mowed either, extremely slow. Then there was a 2 some group just waiting for their third member to show up, needless to say we got out 20 minutes late. Our group of three had tee times of 7: 00,7:10 &7:20, so I started asking groups what their tee times were to get things moving and I got 6:56 & 7:04, looks like the club house doesn't know what they are doing how can you have tee times 4 minutes apart. Check in was fast, cost was too high at $62, the starter is up at the club house signing out carts, but there is no one at the first tee to get people out. I’d recommend, but for the price you would hope for better greens. Tee boxes were fine except for the elevated par 3 which was totally shot due to over use. I like this course for its variety and the feeling of getting away even though you have soaring views of the heavily populated valley. Make sure you miss toward the middle of the green or your ball will be buried. Rough was thick, especially near the greens. Unfortunately, many of the greens were affected by some sort of fungus that hampered otherwise good conditions. Lots of green and lush compared to years past where it got very thin. Basically if your not where you want to be, then you will be facing a challenging lie, up/down/ side hill lies abound… fairways were pretty nice. Course improvements include upgraded stairs to the abbreviated hillside range so that you can climb up and down safely… thanks!Ĭheck in was easy and we saw a beverage cart once… POP was good at 4:45 for a difficult course. So, what are you waiting for? Shop our favorite picks below. To accommodate your needs and budget constraints, we made sure to highlight affordable options, consumer margarita makers, and even commercial-grade machines that'll work in a restaurant setting. Our thoroughly researched picks will allow you to enjoy a refreshing and ice-cold margarita at home whenever a craving for one hits. A good rule of thumb is to shy away from machines that offer less than 450 watts of power. As you’d expect, the higher the wattage of the motor, the better the blending power will be. Blending Powerįor optimal blending, look for a machine with a powerful motor and multiple sharp blades, as this will ensure that your drinks are smooth and consistent without any annoying chunky ice bits. Consider the Margaritaville Tahiti Frozen Concoction Maker if you want to dish out strawberry daiquiri, margaritas, and piña colada simultaneously. Having multiple pitchers also allows for a quicker turnaround time between batches. The more pitchers, the more drink combinations you can make, and the more variety you can offer your guests. In addition to drink capacity, you should also consider how many pitchers you will need. Commercial offerings can hold even more - as much as 6 gallons, but they take up significantly more counter space. Most machines come with a pitcher capacity ranging from 36-72 ounces, so it's important to choose the right size for your needs. The first thing to ask yourself is how many people you plan to serve frozen cocktails to. If you're ready to be a margarita master, there are a few things you need to consider before purchasing or gifting a machine to the margarita lover in your life. In pickpocketing, this is what a typical scenario would look like: If the bag does not have those hidden zippers, they usually come with a zipper-lock where you only open your bag with the right code. These bags also offer 180 degrees and 90 degrees opening from the back. Since no one can open your bags without you noticing. This feature hides the zipper on your back, which means more protection against pickpockets. The most appreciated feature in an Anti-theft bag is the hidden zippers that open from the back. If you didn’t know, 1 out of every 4 pickpocket victims is a tourist. It happens all around the world, especially to tourists. Pickpocketing is prevalent while traveling. They have 5 specific features that add comfortability to your daily life. B ut what about owning one? Is it really worth all these claims? Does it really improve your outdoor life? Fortunately, These bags indeed have some appreciating features. Many of these bags are designed to look modern and stylish. It uses HAVING clause in SQL for the where clause. AS, COUNT(*) AS ĮF Core also translates queries where an aggregate operator on the grouping appears in a Where or OrderBy (or other ordering) LINQ operator. EF Core identifies this pattern and translates it to the server, as in the following example: var query = from p in context.Set() The projection can only contain grouping key columns or any aggregate applied over a column. It requires you to group only by scalar values. When an aggregate operator is applied to each group, which returns a scalar, it can be translated to SQL GROUP BY in relational databases. Since no database structure can represent an IGrouping, GroupBy operators have no translation in most cases. Furthermore, IGrouping implements IEnumerable, which means you can compose over it using any LINQ operator after the grouping. LINQ GroupBy operators create a result of type IGrouping where TKey and TElement could be any arbitrary type. var query = from b in context.Set()įrom p in context.Set().Select(p => b.Url + "=>" + p.Title)įrom p in context.Set().Select(p => b.Url + "=>" + p.Title).DefaultIfEmpty() Certain databases like SQLite don't support APPLY operators so this kind of query may not be translated. Because of this distinction, this kind of queries translates to CROSS APPLY in the absence of DefaultIfEmpty and OUTER APPLY when DefaultIfEmpty is applied. But if DefaultIfEmpty is applied on the collection selector then the outer element will be connected with a default value of the inner element. If the collection is empty for an outer element, then no results would be generated for that outer element. It translates to APPLY operations in many relational databases. That's why we need to evaluate the collection selector for each outer element. When the collection selector references the outer element, which isn't in a where clause (as the case above), it doesn't translate to a database join. Ĭollection selector references outer in a non-where case var query = from b in context.Set()įrom p in context.Set().Where(p => b.BlogId = p.BlogId)įrom p in context.Set().Where(p => b.BlogId = p.BlogId).DefaultIfEmpty() Because of this distinction, this kind of queries translates to INNER JOIN in the absence of DefaultIfEmpty and LEFT JOIN when DefaultIfEmpty is applied. Normally this case arises when using collection navigation on the outer element as the collection selector. When the collection selector has a where clause, which references the outer element, then EF Core translates it to a database join and uses the predicate as the join condition. Ĭollection selector references outer in a where clause It translates to CROSS JOIN in relational databases. When the collection selector isn't referencing anything from the outer source, the result is a cartesian product of both data sources. Collection selector doesn't reference outer Depending on how the collection selector is related to the outer data source, SelectMany can translate into various different queries on the server side. In a way, it's a join but without any condition so every outer element is connected with an element from the collection source. The LINQ SelectMany operator allows you to enumerate over a collection selector for each outer element and generate tuples of values from each data source. įurther, if the key selectors are anonymous types, EF Core generates a join condition to compare equality component-wise. On photo.PersonPhotoId equals person.PhotoId So EF Core generates a join condition by comparing the outer key selector to the inner key selector for equality. While the LINQ Join has outer and inner key selectors, the database requires a single join condition. It naturally translates to INNER JOIN on relational databases. The LINQ Join operator allows you to connect two data sources based on the key selector for each source, generating a tuple of values when the key matches.
